WATCHING THE TIME GO BY

Whose the child in the faded photo

wide eyes looking out the window

takin in a brand new world

where everything is ready to be explored

looking back

I can see the me

the way I used to be

Sixteen looks a little bit weird

hardly smiles holding back his tears

every moment is a million years

never cares to know what he’s looking for

looking back

I can see the me

the way I used to be

I can see the me

the way I used to be

Im busy watching the time go by

bye bye bye

quickly fading before my eyes

Im busy watching the time go by

bye bye bye

so much more of my life to realise.

young man looks a little like me

settled down growing family

big plans but a little naive

trying to hold on tight while doing his best

looking back

I can see the me

the way I used to be

kids weddings smiles and tear

eyes of lines many tests of years

distant decades disappear

from birth to death is just like another breath

Im busy watching the time go by

bye bye bye

quickly fading before my eyes

Im busy watching the time go by

bye bye bye

so much more life to realise.

bye bye bye

Im busy watching the time go by
